The Lionel 1120 2-4-2 Die-Cast Scout Engine and Tender from 1950. This engine was part of Lionel’s “Scout” series of starter sets. It features a die-cast metal shell, metal wheels and axles, a powerful motor, and reverse unit. It does not have a smoke unit. The tender has a tinplate shell with Scout trucks and coupler, and metal wheels.
